So many of the winter hats look too juvenile to me. Am I really supposed to be wearing a pom-pom hat the same as I did in 1983? Or a slouchy beanie? Suggestions with links for a winter hat that looks age-appropriate in the city (as opposed to a snow activities hat).
A poster was roasted for making fun of an older woman rocking her pom-pom hat (think Bo Derek bouncing her braided hair on the beach). Many thought it was fine to wear whatever made the wearer feel good. Personally I wouldn't feel comfortable in a pom-pom hat over the age of 25 because I would feel silly, and frankly the pom-poms hanging down annoy me and get in the way. There are lots of beanies and headbands that really do keep your ears warm. It's difficult to go try things on with Covid but you can always photoshop pics of yourself. Doesn't have to be a great photoshop job to give you an idea of how it looks on you.
