It is a competitive process since they are building a community of friends as well as learners at each grade, so they look at all the facets of a child's profile.  There are more applications than there are open spots for every grade, though the largest entry points for admission are kindergarten, 6th grade, and 9th grade.  Being Episcopal does not influence your child's chance of admission, but I would say that SSSAS being a faith-based school is one of the richest dimenions of its mission.
