I don't know about the side effects you are experiencing but it concerns me that your doctor does not want to monitor you more closely.
This concerns me as well. I produced a huge number of follicles on the lowest dose of clomid (50mg) & had to cancel the cycle b/c the risk of multiples was too high. I also felt bloated when that happened. How do you know what's going on with your ovaries if you're not getting any ultrasounds and bloodwork to check your estrogen levels? Are you producing one follicle? Two? Twelve? The estradiol is to thicken your uterine lining because Clomid typically thins the lining. Again, without ultrasound monitoring, you have no idea what Clomid is doing to your lining and whether you need the estradiol or whether it is helping. I just don't get how doctors can be so irresponsible with these drugs when even a layperson like me knows what the protocol should be for clomid cycles!
