Why doesn’t the school have a temp check before the kid can go into the school? That’s what my kid’s preschool does.
You should work in Daycare and see how half ass it is. My 18 year old daughter is doing the part time day care, she also last summer worked in a private school after hours program and before that was a CIT in a public school program and is doing nursing. Her observations are why things happen. First the parents don’t pay enough to employee workers a living wage. My daughters place is in a very rich area in a church so no mortgage or property taxes paid. But none of staff can afford to live nearby or afford decent cars so every morning is a chore. The staff is exhausted many have second jobs and have food insecurity and housing issues. Most have to work other jobs. None are trained teachers. Some are old. They are nice and do their absolute best. My daughter takes it seriously. In this kids case he came and passed temp check, my daughter actually played with home for 30 minutes as he was one if first to arrive. He had a cough and they rechecked home and he then had a fever. Amazing no Covid at all in place yet. My daughter is there at 7 am every day as she lives in the rich town by day care center and has a newer car. Her and person running day care center are there first. The staff it is harder. But since it is church related my daughter says they give full time staff, medical, vacation and sick days and full benefits which is rare but the salary is still very low. Basically at a low wage passing background check and having access to a reliable car gets you a job
