My second kiddo wants nothing to do with milk or formula from a bottle or cup. So I nurse am and pm (5 and before bedtime). The rest is solid food and has been since about 10 months. Am: cut up fruit or berries, pancake pieces, Greek yogurt Snack: cut up fruit (different than am) Lunch: turkey meatball pieces, pieces of soft cheese like Gouda or mozzarella, scooped inside of a cucumber (the soft seed bits), pieces of steamed red pepper without skin Snack: berries, piece of toast Dinner: whatever we are having: zucchini pancakes, steamed broccoli, meatball again (homemade), pieces of grilled chicken that we are having, pasta, steamed cauliflower, black beans, chickpeas (rinsed from a can), butternut squash from a stew, roasted fish, steamed or roasted asparagus. She eats what we eat just sometimes components of our meals and with a little less salt or spice. It was the same with my oldest and it helps having the same meal on the table for everyone. Sometimes she will eat a ton and sometimes she’ll refuse what she ate 2 days ago. There are days she only wants fruit and cheese and days she will eat 3 meatballs in a sitting. We do baby lead weaning so she stops when she’s done. My oldest was spoon fed and loved it and didn’t want to feed herself and is still pretty fastidious with her hands. The baby hates the spoon but is very good with picking up pieces from her tray.
