Use this to find a doctor. https://www.zocdoc.com/search On 06488. I’m the pp with family in Southbury. Yes, it’s very different from DC. I live in DC actually, but all my extended family is up there. It’s sort of like how they describe “Pensyltucky”, the parts outside of big cities are quite conservative and not very diverse. (There are hardly any minorities in Southbury.) It’s very rural, but quaint. Southbury has a lot of medical services because there are a lot of retirees due to Heritage Village. It’s also relatively affordable and the Region 15 schools are good. Downsides: the only good restaurants are Italian, Greek or diners. God forbid you want Asian food. When your kids are older and Covid is over, take them to Quassy every summer. I usually head to Danbury or Exit 7ish in 84 to go to major stores. (Home Depot, movies, etc) Good luck finding your doctor!
