Your daughter should be calling a doctor for advice and then asking her supervisor, not having her mom troll on DCUM.
Except she can’t call out and we ended up doing test this evening but takes a few days. Honestly surprised it is in honor system and place does not pay sick days
Your daughter calls out until the results of her covid test. You don’t go into work with symptoms while awaiting a pending test right now. If this were my kids’ school I’d be livid if I found out a teacher came to school while awaiting results. Frankly, she could probably get sued. Tell her to call her supervisor. Also, yes, the school should offer paid sick days, but not necessarily for totally careless behavior.
They should but the fact is that they don't. Many front line jobs in essential industries do not offer this.. This is what you should be "livid" about, not towards the workers themselves.
No, because someone was selfish and went to a hotel with friends and ate out, I totally disagree. Totally irresponsible and selfish. She should be fired.
My daughter and her friends wore masks, ate outdoors and too young to go to bars. Her concern amount of adults not wearing masks on boardwalk etc coming too close and crowding and many were families with kids. The issue is not the kids who watch your kids but often it is the parents. My younger daughter had middle school orientation and teachers were telling of all the trips and stuff they did all summer, my daughters principal was at her beach house doing zoom talking about boating with friends. It is not the 18 year old sunbathing it is all of us. I am sure Tuesday after Labor Day weekend will be a germ fest but hopefully Just regular germs Guess what my older daughter is away at college and just got a part time job at Dunkin’ Donuts. Labor Day her friends are going to beach, but Tuesday she is serving coffee for three hours at min wage. Should she isolate? We let folks watch our kids and make our food. I just wish paid sick days and free Covid tests were available to these low paid people.
