Our daycare in MD is at roughly 80% capacity, per MD state regulations. Teachers wear masks, and they’re phasing it in for the kids (2 and up). Temp checks when you drop off. Parents can’t enter the building. Lots of sanitizing procedures. But yes, the kids can be there 5 days a week for full days.
How did they do 80% capacity but have 5 days week and full days, did they hire more teachers and have more rooms available? Or did 20% stay home?
I'm not the PP you quoted, but at our MD daycare even though they are at reduced capacity, the rooms are not full. My sons room has a maximum allowed of 15 (including the teachers), and there are only about 8-9 kids in the class from what I've counted when they send photos.
Similar at ours. I haven’t heard of any family who didn’t get a spot if they wanted one when the center reopened. Some new kids have even started. Five days per week, but shorter days.
