We are looking at putting our kindergartener in a daycare that is running a transitional kindergarten class instead of attempting the distance learning. It's unclear whether we need to formally state we are going to home school, or if we can just enenroll from K and go back next year to our inbound school. Has anyone been able to get a straight answer on this?
What you are doing isn't homeschooling, it's enrolling in private school. If you never enrolled in dcps, you don't need to do anything. If you previously enrolled, you need to contact the old school to disenroll and tell them the name of the new school.
Thanks, that is helpful. The reason I was questioning whether we needed to "homeschool" is because I don't think they are accredited as a K program (we are fine with this, we're planning to work with our child at home, we just need some support to be able to keep our jobs). Would the lack of accreditation change your suggestion?
