Daycare reopened in late May. One teacher tested positive at the end of June. She became symptomatic on a Sunday and tested positive Monday. Daycare was closed for cleaning for 24 hours. No other children or staff members were infected, to our knowledge.
They didn't have her class stay home for two weeks?
No. She hadn't been in the facility for the 2 days prior to showing symptoms so, supposedly, there was no need for anyone to quarantine. Not sure how this will work once everyone is coming down with colds, or even just a mild cough or the sniffles. With the pace of testing now, having anyone who has been in contact with someone who has even one symptom quarantine for two weeks, or until a negative test result, would likely mean shut down for most of fall/winter.
