With my second pregnancy (2017), the OB said something that triggered anxiety. My HR has been a bit high a couple weeks earlier when I went to GP for likely flu. It was 115 then. My OB showing concern sent me spiraling. She got 140 pulse so immediately sent me for EKG. I did 48 hours on a Holter and was declared NOT to be tachycardic. However I run a little high at least since then. I try not to think about it and I meditate daily. My anxiety is much more under control. I’m 38 weeks with #3 now. I’ve had a few anxious HBP so extra tests. Went yesterday. My BP readings were good but my pulse was again elevated. Even though I suffer much less from anxiety these days I can tell when I’m elevated. It’s like I can be doing fine mentally but I can feel my body amping up. After this pregnancy is over, I plan to lose weight (I was overweight at start and that certainly can’t be helping) and consult my GP if I need follow up care. I really do think I’m fine but I want to try and make lifestyle changes before it’s been years and years. Maybe I need beta blockers? So I’m not diagnosed with SVT but I thought my story might be helpful.
