[quote=Anonymous]Yes, kids will need to wear masks at school. Yes, kids should be wearing masks when they are stores or public places with other people. I will point out that masks have been worn regularly by kids and adults in many Asian countries for ages. If you have a cold, you wear a mask. It is deemed polite and acceptable. cities are crowded and wearing a mask decreases your transmission of viruses to other people on the metro, on the street, in stores and at work. Kids wear masks as well. There is nothing different about kids in the US then kids in these Asian countries. Maybe that comes from living through SARs and other similar viruses so that people in those countries have learned the importance of wearing a mask. I believe that mask wearing was already an accepted practice before SARs and the real difference was that people who were not sick started wearing masks as well for safety purposes. The US would be in a far better place if people would realize that wearing a mask decreases transmission and allows people to go about a far more normal life. This will help the economy. Or we can continue to argue that we have the right to not wear a mask because "freedom" while trying to open everything and living a more normal life and keep transmitting the virus at a higher rate making it harder to really open things up.
