We have two children turning 4 and 6 soon. Thinking we want to keep them at home this school year and hire a teacher to come in to teach them. We’d want the teacher to be here the full school day, 9-3ish. What should we expect to pay for this, and how would we go about finding a teacher?
If you could find a teacher willing to work you know you wouldn't need for them to be "in school" from 9-3. The reason school is that long is because kids move from class to class and have lunch. So they are counting on times where there is no learning. My siblings homeschool and they can do everything in 2-4 hours. But, the benefit of homeschooling is you can make any time a learning opportunity! Doubt you are going to find someone. Just isn't worth it to the teacher.
