Hybrid sounds great but the reality is that it forces teachers to teach in two different ways at the same time. It is twice the amount of planning and preps. A lot of staff will just do the same online activities in class on chrome books as the students at home to simplify the management. I hope the county curriculum will address this weakness or there is no reason for kids to go to school accept socialization. I teach three courses that do not have county module support, so I am not looking forward to hybrid for this reason.
You aren’t teaching the same content in two different ways. You should be planning activities for one week for all kids, 2 days of which are F2F and 3 of which are online. Either make lessons that can be taught in either order for one week, or have one group 2 days behind the other. -teacher
