I would guess most ECNL teams in the showcase bracket will back out as there will be no D1 coaches (though some will play because they can). My guess is that local teams who were signed up and are hoping to get their kids in front of D2 and D3 coaches (no ban on them attending as far as I am aware) may very well choose to play if the event is held.
