Looks-wise - we live in a tropical area, and are probably going to put in brightly colored high gloss cabinets. We may close up one of the doorways just for the extra counter/cabinet space. We aren't sure yet about a countertop - probably either stainless steel, or a sort of terrazzo-like stone.

I realize that is a lot of info and it might be hard to find anything - but if you do have any ideas or eye candy inspiration that could help guide our renovation, I would be most appreciative.
