My son is leaving his current club for a new one. Is it the parents job, the new club, or the old clubs ? What happens if he is rostered by two different clubs is eligible to play for both?
This time of year, the club releases everyone from the rosters. Your new club will add you to their roster. It usually happens in August. Ask your new team manager for assistance. If you leave a club in the middle of the contract, it is your job as a parent to get the paperwork prepared and sent to the clubs. Once this is done then the paperwork can be sent to the registrar for your state. It may be possible to be registered for two teams. This question is asked every year on one of the two administrative papers you should be filling out every year.
It's not that it may be possible...it is possible....just as long as one team is US Soccer and the other is US Club Soccer. When someone is rostered on a team, a player card is created and that player is registered with ONE team in the US Soccer System or US Club System. You can't be rostered on another US Soccer team (or Club Soccer team) until the first team releases your player card. Once the team releases the player car, the player becomes available in the system for the new team to add him.
This is ridiculous, signing a kid in two leagues this year when we don’t know if fall will actually happen.
I think the OP isn't trying to play for multiple leagues. I think they just wanted to transfer clubs as smooth as possible.
