Marshall Academy Students Take Aim at Gun Violence https://www.washingtoninformer.com/marshall-academy-students-take-aim-at-gun-violence/ ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: Student-led activist group aiming to combat gun violence, create a safer DC https://www.fox5dc.com/news/enough-is-enough-student-led-activist-group-aiming-to-combat-gun-violence-create-a-safer-dc From the school's own website: On March 14th, many of our seniors addressed gun violence, honored the lives of the Parkland victims, and the lives of two Thurgood Marshall Academy students, Zaire Kelly and Paris Brown, during the National School Walkout. https://thurgoodmarshallacademy.org/our-voices-will-be-heard/ Did you sleep through all of this?
Nope. I saw kids from Marshall every day, until schools closed for the pandemic. A better question is, where were you?
So you saw all of this and still posted a message suggesting no one cared about these victims? There is a real disconnect there. Moreover, your original post contained a factual error. You wrote, "This kid has shot and/or killed more people in 70-odd DAYS than the entire 3,900 officer MPD in the last several YEARS.". According to the Washington Post's database of police shootings, 13 people have been killed in DC by the police since 2015: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/investigations/police-shootings-database/?itid=lk_interstitial_manual_11 Where was I? I have been working with DC schools and education issues and working against gun violence for as long as I can remember. That's why I was aware of the protests that you neglected to mention in your original post.
