I did not think the food at the Mountain State Brewery was at all good -- it all tasted like it cane from the freezer section of Giant.  But the beer is good and the patio is lovely.

And the ice cream place is good (Lakeside Creamery).  There was also a burger food truck parked near the Creamery that I thought was really good, but incredibly slow.

Also, if you stop at the Hagerstown outlet mall on the way, there is a Mexican restaurant in the food court that has the best Mexican food I've eaten in Maryland.  It's amazing because the food court is otherwise super depressing (my family was all getting hot dogs at Auntie Annie's and I just couldn't bear it, so decided to take a chance on what looked like a mom and pop operation.)  It's like fresh, home-cooked Mexican food.  I go back whenever I'm in that part of MD.  I guess I'm not sure if it's open with the closures -- I wonder if there's a way to check and see if they are doing pickup.
