Little kids in Asian daycares wear them. I wonder why they do to get the kids to keep them on?
My kid with a major immune issues has worn a mask for day long visits to the hospital since he was tiny, for things like hospital visits. We basically trained him by putting on the mask and doing something really fun, usually reading a book in an animated manner because that was his thing, and then when he touched the masks, we'd stop. Close the book, and wait silently for him to lower his hands. If we needed to put the mask back on we would. As soon as he wasn't touching it and it was on, we'd start the fun thing again. We trained his older brother to keep a nebulizer mask on the same way, although his reward was TV, because that's what he liked.
