[/quote] Right -- they aren't closing because they just didn't feel like running a camp this year, or because the head of the camp got arrested for tax fraud, or they failed to take basic precautions and got shut down by the health inspector or something. They can't open safely in a pandemic. I suspect they already had some fixed expenses that they need to pay. Now, whether it's a smart business decision depends. If they could roll the deposits over to next year, for example, I would say they should do that. Or if they could refund the fees and stay in business. But it's possible that they can't do that.
