I tried to explain that the whole reason I am having the sonogram is that I have abnormal vaginal bleeding, so I cannot be sure whether I will be bleeding or not.  She just kept repeating that I cannot be bleeding Thursday.

I am extraordinarily anxious to get this done, because I have PCOS, and I have been bleeding almost nonstop for more than the past month.  I don't really ever get periods, so if they make me wait for the next "10 days after the first day of your cycle," I may need to wait forever to do this again.  I only get older every day.

So my question is this:  does anyone know WHY I cannot be bleeding at all to have this done?  I can't find an explanation anywhere, and I don't want to call the radiologist office and tip them off that I might still be bleeding.

Also, I read on the internet that this procedure hurts.  Is that true?[/quote]
