The cost for the addition itself (foundation, walls, roof) was not substantial to our overall addition costs.  The finishing is what costs most (flooring, cabinets, etc.)  About 2/3 of our addition was a kitchen, the other 1/3 was a sitting room.  The sitting room cost about $10k, while the kitchen cost over $100k.  The difference was in the finishing.

I'd speak to a couple of contractors about your options.
