Such a perspective of a parent that knows better.  After all a kid could not possibly want an experience outside of ECNL, GA, CCL or ...

Its simply beneath you to consider anything besides your cherished "elite" league.

I don't think the reason to play HS soccer is for the level of soccer though is it?  The point of high school soccer is that it's one of those life experience things that kids enjoy and remember for the rest of their lives.[/quote]

Sorry, but I can’t afford to spend $7k a year for my kid to skip half of it for “the experience”.

I played HS sports and I can honestly say I’ve spent a total of 7 minutes over the last 30 years thinking about it. It isn’t overrated and it is t underrated, it is just a small part of a very small portion of ones life.

But on a pragmatic position, the quality isn’t worth the experience. If my kid wants to run a lot track would be a better experience and less risk of injury. [/quote]
