According to a new SAC Facebook post:
"Baltimore Armour is now being exclusively run by the Soccer Association of Columbia for both boys and girls. For the upcoming season, BA Boys will be competing in a new league being created by MLS. Details for the BA Girls will be coming soon." https://www.facebook.com/SoccerAssociationofColumbia/posts/2997912330267653
First I have seen on this subject from an authority. Anyone have more information or know what the first sentence means: "now being exclusively run by [SAC]"?
I means that Pipeline will no longer be part of Armour. Rush & Santino were on the Board of Baltimore Armour, no longer. The majority of Armour players on the boys side were SAC players and most of the coaches s too.
This was always an odd relationship in my opinion. Seemed like the Armour teams were full of SAC kids, at least on the boys side, however Pipeline retained much of their top talent on their "pre-academy" teams. Armour has produced some pretty good teams and a lot of D1 talent. I think they will be fine, but will be interesting to see how this all works out with the MLS league for the boys.
