They don't offer scholarships for kids in the middle (e.g. with parents who work middle class or lower middle class jobs). You either qualify for free and reduced lunch, or pay full. As a result, you have a lot of really wealthy kids, and some really poor kids, but not much in the middle to begin with.[/quote]
