With the libraries closed, and school out for summer, we need books. We are readers. We read a lot. And I'm not against re-reading, but fresh books would be nice. I'm also trying to reign in my Amazon. We just don't have money for large book orders. But I could get a lot from Ebay. So much more cost effective. Is this not a good idea, in today's situation?
Not sure what you mean by cost effective. Have you compared EBay prices with prices for third party sellers on Amazon? And “third party” includes professional booksellers such as Powell’s. Also, many eBay and Amazon marketplace sellers discount the shipping when you make multiple purchases from them. Local booksellers such as Loyalty, Kramerbooks and Politics and Prose are also doing a lot of special promotions as they struggle through this current crisis — so it could be worth checking them out as well. I’ve been letting my packages sit a few days and spraying them indirectly with Lysol. I’ve no idea if this actually helps, but it does make me feel better.
