Considering a babysitter who I know well whose family is staying home come to help out b/c I'm so slammed at work. Horrible idea? She drives, no public transport.
1) If she is not seeing anyone outside of your family and hers and there is no one immunocompromised, it's probably fine. I presume you are working from home? If no and she potentially has someone elderly or immunocompromised in her family, I wouldn't do it. 2) People still have to eat and a lot of people are being laid off with no pay right now so this helps both of you. If you can both agree that you're not going out and she's not, and you're both socially isolating OTHER than each other, it's probably fine. The issue is, most people are still going out to grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, gas stations etc... So you both have to be sure you're not putting yourself in a situation to pass the virus to someone vulnerable. It's a tough spot to be in, one I don't envy, and no I don't have a babysitter coming.
