Not sure if it would help but are there kids from your school that have gone there and willing to talk about it with your ds or would admissions be able to find a student ambassador etc that would be willing to spend some time answering questions/talking about the school? It’s sort of crazy when you think of these events that define a generation - all these seniors will have had a national pandemic that closed schools and restricted travel and that’s their normal for anyone that's class of 2020.
For my son yes. But everybody loves their own school so now they are all tied for #1 instead of a week ago when their was a clear #1.
It could be one of those thing where there isn’t a wrong decision and he can do well at any of them. There might be some decider like he wants to be further or closer to home, the cost, which is stronger in his major or better if he doesn’t have a major. My dd recently had to pick between high schools and everyone that talked about their school loves their school. But there were different reasons why they loved the school. My dd felt the smaller class size, closer commute and ability to participate in athletics (as someone that isn’t athletic) gave one school the edge. She didn’t have as high on her list the strengths/reasons why people picked the other school - but again not to say if she ended up there she couldn’t be happy.
