What does it matter if 11th grade? Bigger problem 12 graders have May 1 decision deadline and many have not seen schools at all and have to decide by May 1
Yes. This. I have a similarly difficult ds who only wanted to visit schools he was accepted to (didn’t see the point of visiting multiple schools until he knew they were realistic options). Now top choice is a plane ride away and we can’t visit. We had plans to visit in a couple of weeks but are canceling. He will be fine - he understands it’s a pandemic. But 11th graders have plenty of time.
Not sure if it would help but are there kids from your school that have gone there and willing to talk about it with your ds or would admissions be able to find a student ambassador etc that would be willing to spend some time answering questions/talking about the school? It’s sort of crazy when you think of these events that define a generation - all these seniors will have had a national pandemic that closed schools and restricted travel and that’s their normal for anyone that's class of 2020.
For my son yes. But everybody loves their own school so now they are all tied for #1 instead of a week ago when their was a clear #1.
