Absolutely!! Please, OP, inform yourself about the critical aspect of "mitigation" vs "containment". The US (and world) is well past the containment phase. Now, we must mitigate the problem by stopping transmission. The only way to do that is to stop people circulating. Keep in mind:
1) it can be transmitted when people don't show symptoms
2) it can live on a surface for hours if not days
3) handwashing/-sanitizing, while very important, is not 100% foolproof at all
4) prevention, when it's working, looks like there's no problem, because there's no spread...but prevention is what we need to focus 100% on.
5) the more people refuse to stay indoors cooped up at home, as authorities need us to do whenever possible, the more this will spread and the more ripple effects on our communities. That includes the economy, when industries and small businesses suffer the longer this goes on (causing layoffs and a recession/depression/etc). You too will suffer from the effects of an economic downturn even if indirectly--it's no fun to live in a time when everyone's struggling.
