Sorry, I know how tough it is. I had success after 2 tries but I also did PGD so my embryos were tested. Did you do PGD to make sure that embryos were "normal." I do know of someone who had success on her 5th try when she finally tested embryos and only implanted healthy embryos. She now has two little ones. Second I would ask if you have confidence in your IVF doctor. I did the first rounds in DC and then went to Boston IVF. I know there are several good docs in DC area though too. Best of luck!
This is good advice and it's awesome that you only needed 2 tries. We have only had 0-2 blastocysts per round for rounds 1-4 so we just went ahead with the transfer since we had nothing to lose. But with our 5th round we had 8 day 5 blastocysts. We transferred 3 and froze 5. I was so sure this was the round that would work that I didn't even think to get the remaining ones tested, but now I wish I had. Lesson learned! I never thought I'd be in this position but I really think it will work eventually. - OP
You can defrost and test. The research shows that it doesn’t really affect your chances of success if the blast survives the initial thaw. After 5 BFNs, I would really try to narrow down the variables at play before transferring more. I’d also look into ERA testing and testing for NK cells to see if there is something in the uterine environment that is causing the issues.
