The church will be potentially liable if something happens on its property. And others may see you and figure it's fine to do. We had to ask adult skateboarders to leave our church parking lot recently and have had to put up signs saying the lot is off limits to scooters, skateboards etc. Plus: Churches often host outside groups during weekday mornings and afternoons (AA, other "anonymous" or self-help groups, scouts etc.). What you think is an unused lot might have cars start driving in when you're not expecting them. [/quote]
