I wasn't always fully comfortable talking about it, though I am now (almost a decade later) but I am EXTREMELY glad that we were upfront and honest from the beginning.  We have been that way with our kids also and it makes things infinitely easier.  There is zero shame, no secrecy, no mystery, in how we became parents - there is only tremendous love, blessing, luck, generosity and commitment.

Also, it's totally ok to feel your way through this a bit OP.  You don't have to be perfect in your answers or approach right now.  You will figure it out and it will all be fine.
