Odds are that other family members may be sick or about to be sick by tomorrow. Germaphobe mom has a point.
My husband started feeling sick, but the test was negative. The doctor gave him Tamiflu knowing that he’s been exposed and the test may be negative in the early stages. But myself and my other son have no symptoms, and we were vaccinated. The vaccine is only about 30% effective this year, but so far appears to have worked for me and my other son. We are seeing our regular family doctor this afternoon for his yearly physical, and I will have both of us tested. She also may give us Tamiflu as a preventative. Never hurts to ask.
