I’m just gonna sit this here for now. I’ll be back. [twitter]https://twitter.com/MikeBloomberg/status/1230515129877434368?s=20[/twitter]
Yes, because people who work as prosecutors or mayors or as public servants aren’t qualified to lead, only “businessmen” like our great president. Ya pp I’m sure his ads will get him elected.
Don't give pp a hard time. He is simply a paid promoter for Bloomberg. It's his job.
I’m not a he, but a she, and minority (gasp!). And I wish I were getting paid for my opinion. I’m not. Bloomberg served as a public servant also. All elections are bought, because, super PACs. The question is do you want your president answering to a zillion donors with their own corporate interests? Or Russian Mob bosses? Or someone that isn’t held up with IOUs and favours, paying it forward as demonstrated by his philanthropic history? He’s probablu still racist (ask why black people aren’t really moved by that it’s more common than you realize) and sexist, but he is a good businessman and has demonstrated success. More than anything I am a Never Trumper. I’ll vote blue no matter who - even crazy ass Bernie - but Bloomberg can beat Trump, and dig out the rot. I expect public shaming and pointing out wrongdoing. And that should be addressed. However. There is no 100% clean candidate on either side, politics is muddy and someone is going to have to step on stage.
Biden will beat Trump, so why are you supporting Bloomberg instead of him?
I love Biden. Truly. And I value his experience, wisdom, and grit. Honestly? I worry that Biden will piss off too many racists in Trymo’s camp because they’ll associate him with Obama. There is some concern about the Russian fiddling and Hunter - only because they kept tying it into impeachment. So I’m guarded around how clean the clothes line gets when you go further back. But Obama, Bernie, and Trump are examples of the American people wanting change. They are electing or standing behind the “politics free” version of a person that will come in and get shit done. Mayor Pete I love him, but I don’t think conservatives are ready for him and I think there will be a shitload of a mess to clean up after Teymp. I’m all for someone who can take this business torch and carry it forward for the moderates. It’s that simple. That’s the strategy to get Teump out. Money talks. Whether through campaign donations or your own income from being brilliant. How much is Bloomberg giving away? Do I think he is racist and know friends in NY that may have been profiled by his policy? Yes, the same who’ve been profiled by every damn policy since slavery. So some arguments are moot. Also - I’m tired of people speaking for blacks like we are all one thought and one pawn one group. Biden said during commentary after debates something to the effect of black people looking upon him favorably. My stomach turned when he said that. It was - disingenuous towards the association he had with black Poole by being cool with Obama. Bloomberg is also wise enough financially to spur creative thinking in how to grow the ECONOMY. Not stock market returns, not only unemployment which basically measures nothing it’s a snapshot in tome. There are many reasons. I like everyone else too. Again, blue no matter who. But you asked me about Biden, I would love it if he were President but I don’t think it will happen. And I’d it does happen I want the person with as much power as necessary against the GOP — Bloomberg has it, and those connections are clean, not dirty manafort-brokered connects. That’s my humble and respectful opinion. Someone posted an analysis in another thread that I agreed with. They suggested pros/cons of each.
