[/quote] There are many, many slots left open for non-auto admits at UT-Austin (and the other Texas schools). If you’re outside of the top 6% it just means you’re not *automatically* admitted. The SAT range for auto admits is 1150-1400, while the range for non-auto admits from Texas is 1210-1420 — so it’s not like it’s even that hard. Were you under the impression that you have to be in the top 6% otherwise you’re automatically rejected? [/quote]
