[/quote] They don't allow coats or backpacks in the classrooms in any MCPS middle school (the only exception is if you have to access a portable classroom outside in the winter). In high school, you're allowed to have jackets and backpacks in the classrooms with you. In fact, in my daughter's high school, the majority of the entire student body don't ever use their lockers AT ALL throughout the year, because the lockers are always so far away from their classrooms, so never have time to access them between classes without being late. My daughter is a sophomore and she hasn't even used her locker once in the 16 months she's been at the school. [/quote]
