The NT scan and accompanying blood test indicated a low risk, but I wanted the additional test. Although I felt reassured by the NT scan/blood test, I'm the kind of person who likes all the information I can get. I wanted to give myself as much opportunity to lower anxiety as possible. The doctor did say that because I was low-risk, there was a higher chance that I could have a false positive on the NIPT (not sure how that works), but that didn't happen. All in all, I'm glad I did it. [/quote]
