I have friends who teach middle school ELA using the purchased programs; they claim there's no wiggle room. I'm not a robotic teacher. I tweak lessons during the class period and from period to period. The best lessons are designed by creative and smart teachers who understand the need to be flexible. When autonomy is stripped, you may as well hire a proctor with strong technological skills. Can any MS ELA teacher share anything positive about these online programs?
