If the church you are going to has any semblance of Jesus and his teachings then you should
be fine being entirely honest and they still should embrace you. 
Just be honest and say that you are not converted at this point but you like to hang out
with them and if this is a problem.
What kind of church would say to you, no  you can not come, it is for members only
even if your wife is a member. If they would say so, that would be basis for reconsideration
