BUT it is middle school and not the end of the world if they get less than an A. My younger kid well in 6th and 7th, although his comp scores were always about a grade lower than the class grade. In 8th he got behind due to illness after winter break, and basically never caught up - and failed 2. It was a pretty awful experience. That experience isn't the norm, but it can happen.[/quote]
