Usually the last day of school is an Early Release. But both of those days are full days?
No - the legend says that the last day of school is a half-day. If it has to be used as a make-up day, it would become a full day.
I should have been more clear (I was thinking about actually needing to add days at the end). The BOE now marks any days over 180 as a make-up day in order to meet the state requirements of a certain # of make-up days planned (I think they had to have 3 before 6/15 when Hogan's mandate was in effect.) If we have at most 2 emergency closures, those days are already accounted for on 6/15 and 6/16, and 6/16 remains a half-day as the last day of school. If we somehow needed to add 6/17 as a make-up, that would be a half day and 6/16 would be a full day. However, in 2020-21 there are a lot of potential make-up days: 11/9, 1/29, 2/12, 3/29, 3/30, 4/16, 5/13, 6/17-6/19. It would take a pretty big snow storm to knock us out for a week+ and get to the point of adding days after 6/16. Worth noting - this year we have almost no make-up days during the year. 1/27 and 4/6-4/7. The last day of school half-day is 6/15 on a Monday. I'm expecting that we are going to lose part of spring break ...
