I'm a Trekkie who could never get into Star Wars. With that said, I loved The Force Awakens, and I didn't think The Last Jedi was that bad. I didn't like The Rise of Skywalker at all. They were all over the place in terms of pacing and story. I feel like they were trying to make this one the "epic conclusion" to all nine films instead of the rebooted three films. I never felt like the last order or whatever the empire was called this go round was particularly menacing. Palpatine was shoehorned into this one, The Force being able to heal people at will and bring them back to life negated any life or death situations from previous films, and Rey became more powerful than all of the Jedi from the previous films.
That was the point though. Rey harnessed the power of all the Jedi -- she essentially became a conduit of all of their power just as Palatine had done with the dark side. Agree that a story line with healing always needs a limit on the power, and this did -- when you heal another, you weaken yourself in equal parts. That's why Kylo Ren, even being reinforced by Leia, died -- he gave his whole life force to Rey.
