Bayern, Borussia, and other academies are great aspirational targets. But we might learn more from other academies that succeed despite the absence of those brands and the related attraction of a global talent pool to their academies. Who takes local talent and makes them into superior national talent? How do they do it? If you try to use Ajax or Barca as your guide, it's like having a decent high school look at MIT to model its math and science program. [/quote]
