See if you can reschedule the outside training. The answer is dependent upon your DC’s skill set. HP training typically focus a lot more on individual skills and agility training compared to team practices. If you can’t reschedule and your DC needs more individual skills training, then just tell the coach.
Unfortunately the training can not be rescheduled and I have a general idea on how a conversation with the coach would go. That is, team training is mandatory but as a player who isn’t on the top team, our DC needs to work harder on individual skills to start to close the gap of the players above DC. The second team players don’t get the same level of training or attention in our club’s age group approach. On the flip side, I don’t want to put DC in a position to be in bad standing for missing team practices.
There are a number of flavors of HP training this winter - talk to Quan and ask if your DC can be moved to a different time slot, or defer to the next session. Quan is a club coach - he should understand and be willing to provide some flexibility as space permits.
Good one, bro! Quan is concerned about the $$$ first.
Quan has been flexible on these situations in the past. He wants and needs returning customers just like any business and sometimes that means being flexible.
OP here. I would agree that Quan is flexible as I’ve seen first hand of a friend’s child being injured and Quan offering a redo. He is a good businessman so I don’t know how much is good will vs. business savvy but either way he can be flexible. Our issue is that our week is maxed out already with other activities or academics so a move to another night wouldn’t work.
If he has a waiting list and if the session hasn't started yet you may be able to get a refund.
