I have it set to remind him to go to tutoring 2x a week, etc. You have to add the reminders through the app which is kind of a pain but it does work. It's set on quiet mode so it just appears on his watch face with no noise. We like it a lot because I can also text him if his pickup schedule changes, for example, and he can call/text me if he needs me. There are no games on it so nothing to lock down, and it's on his wrist so he can't lose it (2 disadvantages to a phone). It's not expensive, the monthly charges are low.
