Why do you ask, OP?
My DD was asked to train with another club. The team is stronger than current team, but to far to commit. 1 day a week training is free, but our coach is hesitant. Apparently this other coach is known for recruiting.
Why did you tell your current coach in the first place? It's none of his/her's business if it is not interfering with your kid making commitments to his/her team. I say this because, from experience, you can't trust any of these coaches. I have seen them take it out on the player at tryouts. They will string you along---all the while being pissed you were talking to the other Club---then cut your kid in the spring. My dad used to always say "what they don't know, can't hurt them". Clubs/coaches are not loyal. Don't buy into that. Only look out what is best for you own kid. If that's training 1 day a week with another club--keep your mouth shut and bring her there on days she doesn't have practice with her own team.
