Our 2 month old has a rectal temp of 100.9 we called the rn hotline and they advised us to watch for a rash and strained breathing and increase in fever, changes in eating or wet diapers, and if we see any distress to call back. In the meantime to give 2.5ml Tylenol every 4 hours. We have a dose at 10pm. They said we could wake or wait for next dose. What has everyone here done? Woken baby to eat and give Tylenol every 4 hours or let baby sleep? I don't think I'll sleep a wink tonight
The first time sick is really rough. It doesn't matter that we know that other kids have it far worse, this is our baby and our baby is sick and it is scary. Listen for breathing issues on the monitor and give the Tylenol when the baby wakes up to eat.
