I would not allow someone who drank daily to watch my child, either.

I’m not really a drinker, but I know people who have a glass or two of wine each evening because they like the taste or it’s part of the wind down process.  I don’t think drinking necessarily = getting drunk. [/quote]

I know this isn’t the argument, but no one really “likes the taste of wine” until they’ve conditioned themselves to, either.

So consider wine “wind down process” = pot “wind down process”. You can drink and not get drunk, but let’s face it, if it’s part of your wind down, you’re doing it to feel happy and relaxed, which is being mildly drunk. So, if you accept that, why can’t you accept being mildly stoned? Either could just as easily wind down with a cup of chamomile tea.
